Target Trip: 11/21/10

I have lots of deals to post today and Savannah is taking her morning nap right now, so I am going to try to power though these!  I wanted to get this up yesterday, but it was impossible with Alex snooping around last night.  If you are looking for toy deals, I highly suggest you grab yesterday's Target ad (or go here and print the in ad coupons) and go to Target before Wednesday!  It was super crowded when I went, but it was worth it!  I'm almost done shopping for Alex, and I got a big chunk of Savannah's gifts bought as well.  Here's the picture and the breakdown:

1 Bright Stars Lion Light Up Rattle (org. $4.99):  $4.24
1 Bright Stars Pink Rattle (org. $2.99):  $1.90
Toy Story 3 Blu Ray (org. $27.99):  $14.99 after sale price of $19.99 and $5.00 coupon
Zhu Zhu Pets Speed Boat (org. $15.59):  $5.00 after sale price of $10.00 and $5.00 coupon
Twister Hoopla game (org. $18.09):  $9.00 after sale price of $14.00 and $5.00 coupon
Cuponk game (org. $13.99):  $2.00 after sale price of $7.00 and $5.00 coupon
VTech Learn and Discover Driver (org. $17.69):  $12.69 after $5.00 coupon
Fisher Price Learning Kitchen (org. $39.99):  $24.99 after sale price of $29.99 and $5.00 coupon
2 Littlest Pet Shop 2 pk pets (org. $4.99 ea.):  $2.50 ea. after 50% wyb 2 coupon
Total Spent:  $79.80
Total Saved:  $75.73

The Fisher Price Learning Kitchen was something I really wanted to get Savannah for Christmas, but just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it, so I was really excited to get a deal on it.  I bought the Zombie version of the Cuponk game (since Alex is obsessed with zombies) and am sending Jerry back today after he gets off of work to see if he can find another one for my sister (she is obsessed with zombies too, and Colleen, if you are reading this, just act surprised if you get one!).  I also am sending him to try to get Disney's A Christmas Carol on Blu Ray.  It's on sale for $24.99 and if you use the $5.00 Target coupon and the $10.00 Disney Movie Rewards coupon it will only be $9.99!  I know all the deals that I posted are pretty much just for girls (sorry, but I only have girls!), but I also spotted several good deals on Thomas the Train and Legos with the sales and coupons!  Happy shopping!

Black Friday Deals

I meant to get this up yesterday, but with two sick girls everything else was on hold.  I read an article that unless you plan on buying electronics you should stay home this Black Friday.  Unfortunately I can't remember where I saw that article, but I must saw I have to agree from the ad previews I have seen so far.  I remember as a child (and even a teenager) shopping on Black Friday with my mom and getting all kinds of freebies just for being one of the first ones at the store.  It seems like no one does that anymore.  Southern Savers has a list of all the ad scans thus far for Black Friday deals.  So far the only place I am considering is Wal Mart, which is surprising for me.  I try to avoid Wal Mart at all costs.  Most of deals start at 12:01 AM, so if I go I might be cutting it close.  Jerry's store opens at 3:00 AM so he has to be at his store by 2:00.  Some of my favorite Wal Mart deals include:
  • Select Blu-Ray movies $5.00 and $10.00
  • Kid's 2-piece character sleepwear sets:  $4.00
  • KitchenAid Stand Mixer:  $149.00
  • Zhu Zhu Pets:  $4.00

The drug stores have some awesome four day deals.  I don't have a Rite Aid near me and I am not a fan of Walgreens, but I am going to try to sneak to CVS as soon as they open on Thanksgiving to take advantage of all the good deals there.  You can go to Southern Savers for the full lists and some scenarios.  Simply CVS has the ad scan and several scenarios as well.  Below are the scenario I will be doing (I will be starting will $9.00 ECB) and a scenario for beginners.  If you are a beginner, you will be doing lots of transactions, but it is the best way to keep your total OOP as low as possible.  Apparently there are several good coupons out there to go with this ad, but I guess I live in an area with a severe lack of coupons.

A New Way To Earn Swagbucks: Redeem Coupons!

Yes, I am slightly Swagbucks obsessed, but who doesn't love FREE money?  Now there is a new way to earn Swagbucks:  by redeeming coupons!  If you look under the "earn" tab and click on "coupons" you will see a page of coupons (they are the same ones available on coupons.com).  Print the coupons you want and when you redeem them, you will receive 10 Swagbucks per coupons!  The fine print says it could take up to six weeks for your Swagbucks to show up on your account, but what better way to earn some extra Swagbucks than to do something you already do?

It's Mega Swagbucks Friday!

Huh?  What does that mean?  Swagbucks is a search engine similar to Google that pays you to use it.  Every time you use it to do an Internet search, you have a chance of earning Swagbucks.  These can be redeemed for prizes, including gift cards.  On Fridays, you will have a chance at winning higher than average bucks, for instance: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 or even 500!  You can also earn Swagbucks by taking polls and surveys on their site.  My favorite prize is the $5.00 Amazon gift card for only 450 Swagbucks.  I know $5.00 doesn't sound like a lot, but it's easy to earn 450 Swagbucks and those $5.00 gift cards add up quickly.  Go to Swagbucks now to sign up!  You will get 30 bonus Swagbucks just for joining!

Publix Trip: 11/17/10

I made my trip to Publix today to purchase a few little things we needed and all the Thanksgiving food I needed as well.  My mom and I are splitting the Thanksgiving dishes, so I only bought my share.  I am super excited about Thanksgiving this year.  My dad and my sister are coming down from St. Louis, and my mom and my stepdad will be here as well.  It's Savannah's first Thanksgiving and my dad's birthday is on Black Friday, so we will have a lot of celebrating to do!  Even with my Thanksgiving purchases, I still saved more than I spent!

New Hamburger Helper Coupon!

MyGetTogether from General Mills has asked me to share this rare coupon with you guys!  It is for $0.35 off any one Hamburger, Chicken, or Tuna Helper.  I have never seen a coupon off one before.  The coupons I see are usually for $0.75/3.  This is a Bricks coupon, so be sure to hit the back button to print a second time.  The coupon will expire one month from the date you print it.  I would not hold off on printing though, they only have a limited number of them!  I must admit, I love having this stuff on hand.  Some nights Jerry doesn't get off of work until 10:00 and is usually hungry when he gets home.  It's so easy for me to whip up some Hamburger Helper right before I go to bed and have it ready for him when he walks in the door.  Hold on to those coupons until a BOGO sale at Publix or a 10/$10 sale at Kroger to score a great deal!

CVS Trip: 11/14/10- One Of My Best Trips!

I had not been to CVS in about two weeks since the sales have been super slow lately.  But I think I made up for it this week.  I usually try not to dip below keeping $10.00 ECB on hand at any time, but I did slightly this week.  But I know I will make up for it next week during the Thanksgiving weekend sales.  Here's what I did over 3 transactions:

Bought:
1 Oral B Vitality toothbrush:  $23.00

So It's Been A While Since I Have Posted Anything...

And I apologize for that.  Life has been hectic and good deals have been slow lately.  Halloween was very busy since it was Savannah's first and we ended up making Alex's costume.  The week after that I hosted my first House Party (which was awesome, by the way) for Play Station Move and Sing Star Dance.  Then I had some family issues.  And now Savannah has her first cold.  I hate seeing my poor baby sick, especially since there isn't much I can do to make her better since she is so young.  So life has been very busy, but God will not put in front of me anything that I cannot handle.  If He has faith in me then I must too.  Here are a few pictures of what I have been up to, and I promise to try to post more regularly.  I don't want anyone to miss any good holiday deals out there!

My little pink poodle slept all the way through Trick-or-Treating!
